Overview
Wayline Browser is a general-purpose iPhone browser developed by Olga Sharkova. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or third-party SDKs.
Data stored by Wayline
Bookmarks, browsing history, and regular tab state are stored locally on your device. Private tabs use a non-persistent WebKit data store, are not added to browsing history, and are never restored after relaunch.
Website data
Websites can store cookies, cache, local storage, and related data through Apple’s WebKit engine. Wayline lets you review stored data by site and remove individual records or all website data. Clear Browsing Data removes website cookies, cache, local storage, and local browsing history; bookmarks and regular tabs are kept.
Third-party websites
Websites you choose to visit control their content and their own data practices. They may collect or receive information under their privacy policies. Wayline does not receive that website data merely because a page is displayed in the browser.
Device permissions
Camera and microphone access can be requested by a website and remains subject to iOS permission controls. Photo-save access is used only when you explicitly choose to save an image. Wayline does not request always-on location or full photo-library read access.
Downloads and external apps
Downloaded files are placed in a temporary local location and can be exported using the iOS share sheet. A user-activated link such as an email or telephone link may be handed to a compatible iOS app.
